IMPROVED! CAD-Enabled Slotting Strategies
Slot3D™ now includes the capability to define slotting business rules
spatially (based on the physical location of equipment within a 3D
model). This greatly curtails or completely eliminates the need to
spend time developing a complex plan for a facility that divides it
into subsections for the purpose of assigning preferences to each aisle,
or to portions of an aisle. Warehouse designs that would be exceedingly
difficult to otherwise model (such as Bulls-eye configurations) become
simple to express.

NEW! Family Group Precedence Support (Build Pallets by Weight, etc.)
Many organizations will arrange their warehouses so that orders are
picked in a way that accommodates a simple unloading process.
This is particularly common in retail or food distribution environments,
where pallets are constructed so that they may be unloaded aisle-by-aisle,
or so that they are arranged with heavy items on bottom and light items
on top. Family Group Precedence Support allows users to specify that
family (or weight) based groups of SKUs are slotted together, and that
groups are slotted in a particular sequence relative to one another,
so that it is easy to build pallets as needed.

NEW! Smart Bin Coding
Smart Bin Coding is a new productivity enhancement tool that provides
an easy and efficient way to label locations within your warehouse
model. Through the AutoCAD® for Warehouse interface you select
a group of locations, enter the first and second address and Slot3D™ intelligently
begins to automatically fill in the remaining locations.
Easily adjust location naming at any point and Slot3D™ will
detect the new pattern and complete the labeling for you. Provide location
addresses for an entire warehouse in a matter of a few keystrokes.

NEW! Automated WMS Synchronization
Tools
AutoSync is a new Slot3D™ App. Slot3D™ Apps are extensions
to Slot3D™ that are available to Subscription clients.
AutoSync can be used to establish an automated synchronization procedure
between a Slot3D™ facility and a client's WMS. Once configured,
AutoSync will automatically import new facility data (SKUs, SKU Groups,
Orders, etc.) and execute scenarios on a nightly basis. This will ensure
that up-to-date move suggestions are available every day.

IMPROVED! Travel Cost
Analysis
By leveraging the x/y/z positional information provided by a 3D facility
model, Slot3D™ can simulate picking and replenishment operations
within a warehouse and produce a report of distance, time, and cost
involved in travel. By providing a simple mechanism to compare travel
costs across scenarios, the Travel Cost analysis function of Slot3D™ delivers
a concrete and relatable ROI metric.

NEW! Customized Reports and Storage Terminology
While Slot3D™ is designed with flexibility in mind such that
it can be successfully deployed within almost any warehouse, it is
important that the terminology specific to a particular warehouse be
addressed by the software. When site-specific Storage Terminology options
are defined, Slot3D™ will automatically customize all reports
so as to apply the user's terminology to any data that is reviewed
within the software or exported for external processing.
